Elbert G. Bellows was a [War II veteran].  He was a son of Mr. and Mrs. Elbert E. Bellows of 30 1/2 Franklin Avenue and  [Helen Street]. In 1929, he won first prize for his essays on the life of [Louis Stevenson] presented by the [Society of America].
