"CLEAN” COMICS AIM ADVANCED

The Week of Feb. 21-25 has been designed as ‘C’ Week by the Comics Magazine Association of America, Inc. to establish the solidity of "approved" comics.

Last Fall the association, realizing the great need of some sort of comic book censorship, was formed…

Henry Rosen and Ewald Wilcott, partners of the Saranac Lake News Co., today reported that they consider this a great move forward. They will distribute only books bearing the seal and suggest that parents investigate comic books purchased by children to be sure they all have the mark of approval...

FAREWELL TO EWALD

Ewald Wilcott was given a great send-off last night at the Elks Club. The warmth of the many fine tributes paid him, attests to the high regard in which he is held in the community. We always hate to see old friends depart, but we feel sure that Ewald, like others who have gone to jobs elsewhere, will continue to think of Saranac Lake as "home". We wish him great success in the land of the Brooklyn Dodgers, which we suppose is all of that strange region known as Long Island.
