Frances Lehman Loeb was a trustee of Vassar and Cornell University and an overseer of the New York Hospital-Cornell Medical Center.  She was a grand-daughter of Adolph Lewisohn, and a daughter of Arthur Lehman, of the investment banking family. She was a niece of [H. Lehman], Governor of New York, and of [Lehman], Chief Judge of the New York State Court of Appeals.

With her husband, she owned Gull Bay Camp on Upper Saranac Lake.
