One of the larger sale transactions reported was the purchase of the Sunshine cottages at 126 River street by Gerald Olyer of 90 Broadway.
Mr. Olyer purchased the properties from Daniel Giroux, former resident of Saranac Lake. The property at 126 River street includes two main houses and tourist cabins.
Mr. Olyer stated that he and his wife would operate the Sunshine cottages, and they took possession on May 1st. The business property houses the Melvin Foster IGA store and the second floor houses apartments which will remain as they are at the present time.
