Originally from Berne, Switzerland, Elizabeth Widmer graduated from Johns Hopkins Nursing School. She was a patient in Saranac Lake and worked as a nurse. She stayed at Trudeau Sanatorium, at a house on Old Lake Colby Road, and at Mrs. Miller's.
