Mary Walker (neé Liscomb) was a nurse. She is buried in Pine Ridge Cemetery.

Mrs. Mary Walker, 74 Dies At Her Home

Mrs. Mary L. Walker died last evening at her home on Upper Broadway. Born in Clintonville, the daughter and John and Jennie Liscomb on Sept. 17, 1883, she was graduated from the Saranac Lake High School in its second graduating class. She worked in this village as a practical nurse until her retirement in 1960.

Survivors include two brothers, Harold Cardy and Jorge Gonzalez; and Leon Liscomb of North Hollywood, Calif.; two sons Dr. John F. Walker of Baltimore, Md., and Kenneth A. Walker, U.S. Army (ret.), and four daughters, Mrs. Florence Welch, and Mrs. Mary Cochran, Miss Shirley Walker and Miss Merle Walker, all of Saranac Lake. Also surviving are twelve grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

It was the wish of the deceased to be remembered through donations to the Heart fund in preference to flowers.

The body is reposing at the Fortune Funeral Home where funeral arrangements are incomplete.
