Mrs. Hayes Dies, Aged Resident of Bloomingdale

Mrs. Ellen Hayes, who was a resident of Bloomingdale, and who lived to hold her great-great grandchild in her arms, succumbed Thursday at the home of her son, Albert Hayes, after an illness of only a month.

Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon from the Methodist Episcopal church of which she was a life-long member. The Rev. H. M. Hall read the service.

The deceased was born in Wilmington on March 1, 1854, the daughter of Delia Lamory of Canada and Patrick Boyle, a native of Ireland. On June 7, 1874, she married Ahaz Hayes in Bloomingdale, where she resided the remainder of her life.

Ten children were born of the union, of whom seven are now living. They are Mrs. Alice Nickerson, Sherburne, N. Y.; Albert Hayes, Bloomingdale; Mrs. Lee Fuller, Saranac Lake; Mrs. Thomas Devlin, California; Homer Hayes, Earlville; Hartwell Hayes, Syracuse, and Mrs. Arthur Downing, Sherburne.

Other survivors are 23 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
