Born: 1789

Died: October 27, 1852

Married: Jacob Smith Moody

Children: Eliza, Harvey, Smith, Cortis Moody, Daniel Moody, Martin, Franklin

With her husband, Jacob Smith Moody, Sally Brown Moody was one of the first European settlers in what is today the Village of Saranac Lake. Her grave in Pine Ridge Cemetery is the second oldest marked burial there.

Mary MacKenzie wrote (Plains of Abraham, page 89) that Sally Moody is buried next to a grandson, five-year-old Jacob S. Moody, son of Cortis and Martha Moody, who predeceased her on July 5, 1852. See Pine Ridge M.
