A. Albert Schroeter

SARANAC LAKE - Albert Schroeter, 68, owner of Schroeter's Restaurant on Ampersand Avenue for 25 years, died Tuesday evening at Saranac Lake General Hospital.

Mr. Schroeter was born in Saxon, Germany, a son of Albert and Natalie Kiesewetter. His wife, Helene, died in April, 1971.

Mr. Schroeter had lived in Saranac Lake for 26 years and had operated the restaurant until 1973. The restaurant was destroyed by fire.

Survivors are: a son, George, of Saranac Lake; a brother, Henry of Schenectady; and a sister, Mrs. Erica Leattau of Germany.

There are no calling hours. A private funeral, at the convenience of his family, will be held at the Fortune Funeral Home.

Friends wishing to remember Mr. Schroeter may make contributions to the Dean Burke Memorial Scholarship Fund in care of the Adirondack Mt. School in Long Lake.
