New York Times, June 13, 1915

SARANAC LAKE, N, Y., June 12.— Interest is turning to the Country Club on Ampersand Bay where the Summer colony make their headquarters. The club will hold its formal opening: today, with a reception and tea. The club courts are being put in shape for the tennis tournament, which are features of Saturday afternoons throughout the Summer. Dr. Joseph Longworth Nichols is president of the club, and its members include many of the prominent Summer residents of Saranac Lake.
