Named for the reservoir that was an essential part of the Village of Saranac Lake's water system, Reservoir Hill was one name for Blood Hill or Petrova Hill. The name was not too commonly used and has largely disappeared. The reservoir itself has been replaced by a new reservoir on Mt. Pisgah, where water drawn from deep wells, rather than from McKenzie Pond, is being collected. This project was completed in the early years of the 21st century.
