Mrs. H. A. Campbell

Mrs. H. Addison Campbell (nee Mary Elizabeth Swain) great-granddaughter of a founder of the Baltimore Sun and the Philadelphia Public Ledger, died after a long illness, Friday, June 14, in San Francisco.

Active in charitable activities in Hastings on Hudson, New York, her home for many years, Mrs. Campbell was a native of Wayne, Pa., and Saranac Lake.

The daughter of Mrs. Charles J. Swain and the late Mr. Swain of Wayne, Pa., her great grandfather [Mosely Swain] was a founder of the Baltimore Sun and the Philadelphia Public Ledger (now the Philadelphia Inquirer).

Surviving in addition to her husband and mother are her son, Lt. Bruce S. Campbell, USA. a grandson Timothy, two sisters, Mrs. Samuel C. Bunting II of Cheshire, Conn., Mrs. Phillip H. Foote, Maplewood, N. J., and a brother Charles J. Swain Jr., The Plains, Va.
