Joseph Prevost
SARANAC LAKE — Joseph Prevost, 76, died Tuesday at Saranac Lake General Hospital. He was a lifelong resident of the area.
Mr. Prevost was born September 7, 1903, in Londonberry, Vt., the son of Patrick Prevost and Rose Delaney. He was a graduate of the Tupper Lake School system and had been employed as a painter at the [Merriweather Post] Camp until his retirement. He was residing on McMaster Road at the time of his death.
He is survived by his wife; the former Pearl Adams, whom he married on April 7, 1946, one son; John, of Fulton, one daughter; Joanne, of Baton Rouge, La., five brothers; Patrick, Lewis, Delore, William, and Paul, three sisters; Viola, Lillian, and Rose, eleven grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Keough and Son Memorial Chapels Wednesday and Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A Bible Vigil will be held Thursday at 7:30 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be said Friday at the Keough and Son Memorial Chapels. Father John Stasiowski, the pastor of St. Johns Catholic Church in Lake Clear, will officiate.
Interment will follow In St. Johns Cemetery in Lake Clear.
