Dr. Arthur F. Chace was a contemporary of Dr. E. L. Trudeau. He owned a camp on Upper St. Regis Lake, Pine Point Lodge. His grand daughter, Kat Chase recalls that he was the personal doctor of [Merriweather Post] and that he started [Sanatorium] in Manhattan, founded to work in conjunction in some way with Trudeau's sanatorium in Saranac Lake.  He served on the original board of Paul Smiths College.
