AUSABLE FORKS -- Paul G. Shaffer, 67, died Jan. 1, 1984, in Tampa, Fla.  

He was born on Dec. 25, 1916 in Philadelphia, Pa. the son of George and Mary Gray Shaffer. For many years, he was a street car operator in Philadelphia. He was a veteran of World War II, a member of the 82nd Airborne Division.

He is survived by a sister, Liane Force of Florida, one brother, Joseph Tebo of AuSable Forks, and several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be from 7 to 9 p m Thursday at the Zaumetzer Sprague Funeral Home in AuSable Forks.

Burial will be at a later date in Brighton Cemetery in Gabriels.
