Lawrence Duprey was a [War II veteran].   He was a son of Syriac Duprey, Sr. and Elizabeth Russett.

Lawrence Duprey dies at 70

SARANAC LAKE - Lawrence Duprey of Ray Book died Tuesday morning at Saranac Lake General Hospital after a long illness. A lifelong resident of Ray Brook, he owned and operated a motel there.

He was born May 30, 1907, the son of Syriac Duprey, Sr. and Elizabeth Russett. He was a World War II veteran, having served in the army.

He is survived by his wife, the former Catherine McMahon of Ray Brook; two brothers, Raymond Dupree of Ray Brook and Clarence Dupree of Saranac Lake; two sisters, Mrs. Alice V. Keough of Saranac Lake and Mrs. Anna Russ of Niagara Falls, and many nieces and nephews.

He is to repose at the Keough and Son Inc. Memorial Chapel today between 2 and 4 and 7 and 9 p.m. A Bible vigil service is to be said today at 7:30 p.m. There is to be a funeral Mass of the Resurrection Thursday at 11:15 a.m. in St. Bernard's Church, with the Rev. Thomas Driscoll officiating. Interment is to be in St. Bernard's Cemetery.
