You Know What... ?

Word was received by Joseph Cox of 1 Pine Street that his son, Cpl. James R. Cox, was killed in action in Italy. Cox had joined the Canadian Army in April, 1941 before the US. had entered the war and then transferred to the U.S. Army. He was with an Army cavalry reconnaissance group and had fought in the Battle of Africa and in the invasion of Sicily.
