...Pfc. Robert Paul Goetz, infantryman, 24, has been killed in action in the fighting in Germany, his wife Mrs. Gloria Rock of 13 Woodruff Street was notified by the War Department. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. George Goetz of 97 Broadway. His brother, Sgt. William Goetz, was also in the Infantry stationed in France. Bob Goetz, sports editor of the Plattsburgh Press-Republican, is his nephew. He was killed on April 17, 1945. He had been in the Army only 10 months...
