SARANAC LAKE — Kenneth A. Walker, 66, of Gabriels, died Saturday morning at the Saranac Lake General Hospital.
He was born May 15, 1909 in Lyon Mountain, the son of Arthur G. and Mary Liscomb Walker. Mr. Walker retired from the army in 1956 after serving in World War II and Korea. He had been a resident of Gabriels since 1958.
Surviving are his wife, the former Irene Lang; a son, Arthur of Saranac Lake; a daughter, Miss Irene Walker of Brooklyn; three sisters, all of Saranac Lake, Miss Merle Walker, Mrs. Florence Welch and Miss Shirley Walker; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call this afternoon and evening at the Fortune Funeral Home. Services will be at 11 a.m. tomorrow from the funeral home, Rev. Lester Loder officiating. Burial will be in Pine Ridge Cemetery in May.
In lieu of flowers friends wishing to remember Mr. Walker are requested to make donations to the Heart Fund.
