John Leonard Nyberg (or Nyborg) was one of the Norwegian Sailors who cured in Saranac Lake during World War II. He may be the Gus Nyberg in the photo on the page for Alfred Larsen.

On 12/15/1943, Dr. Daniel Brumfiel saw John Nyberg, whose former address was the "Norwegian Service." Nyberg was a fireman, age 26. His address in Saranac Lake was 71 Bloomingdale Avenue, where he died; he is buried in Pine Ridge Cemetery with the other Norwegian sailors.

He may have been related to Karin Nyberg.
