Saranac Lake is to have a new national bank to be known as the Saranac Lake National Bank. The present bank is known as the Adirondack National Bank. The capital stock is to be $50,000 and $40,000 has already been subscribed. The application of the bank has been approved by the comptroller of the currency and its promoters are looking about for a suitable location. Among those prominently interested in the new enterprise are Frank Kendall, Frank McKee, William Ledger and A. K. Botsford.

Malone Farmer, 14 April 1909

They are talking of making a park along the shores of Lake Flower at Saranac Lake and William Ledger, of that place has offered to subscribe $500 toward the cost of obtaining the property for this purpose. Isaiah Vosburgh, president of the village, will also give $500 toward the expense if the shores can be cleaned of buildings from Riverside Inn south. Options have been obtained on practically all the land by the committee in charge of the improvement of Saranac Lake.
