Clifford McCormick Resigns Village Post

The resignation of Clifford W. McCormick, as Village Attorney, a position he has held since 1940, was "accepted with regret," by the Village Trustees last night.

His letter, read by Mayor Alton B. Anderson, stated that personal reasons made the move necessary.

Mr. McCormick said he "would  stand ready to help the Board should his services be needed." The attorney is a candidate for the State Supreme Court Bench.

A successor to the position of Village Attorney will be named in April when the new Village Board sits in its first session.
