Violetta Sophia Seeger was diagnosed with tuberculosis and was admitted to the Wilson Cottage on  July 9, 1916. She also stayed at 29 Lake Street. She returned home on Easter Sunday, April 8, 1917, and died there on September 10, 1917.

Information provided by her granddaughters, Lynne, Judi, and Sally. Although their grandmother died before they were born, the sisters knew about her connection to Saranac Lake. They visited the Historic Saranac Lake museum in the summer of 2016.
