SARANAC LAKE - Mrs. Catherine M. Bola, 59, of 99 Ampersand Ave., died Friday evening, Feb. 15, at her home.
She was born May 10, 1925, in Saranac Lake, the daughter of William and Marion (Lynch) Madden.
Mrs.. Bola had been an area resident for most of her life and was employed by New York Telephone Company for 38 years, retiring in 1981. She was a member of the Telephone Pioneers.
She was married in 1947 to Bernard Bola.
Survivors include her husband of Saranac Lake, a daughter, Mrs. Nancy Lee of Constable; a son, James of Rochester; her mother of Saranac Lake; a sister, Mrs. Helen Raimondi, and a brother, William Madden, Jr., both of Saranac Lake; two grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
A mass of Christian burial was held at 2:30 p.m. today at St. Bernard's Church, with the Rev. Frank Coryer officiating.
Burial will be in St. Bernard's Cemetery in May.
Memorial donations may be made to the Saranac Lake Rescue Squad, in care of the Fortune Funeral Home which was in charge of funeral arrangements.
