Peter Bartok

Peter Bartok was the son of Bela Bartok and Ditta Pasztory Bartok. When he was released from U. S. Navy service in World War II, he came to see his parents, then staying in what we now call the Bartok Cabin on Riverside Drive. His father, the eminent composer, was gravely ill, and Peter accompanied his parents back to New York City where his father died less than a month later.
