Robert Raymond Rice moved to Saranac Lake in the 1950s until entering the Air Force.

MIDWEST CITY, Okla. — Robert Raymond Rice, a former resident of Saranac Lake, died here June 28 following a long illness.

He was born in Harrisburg, Pa., Feb. 2, 1904 the son of Mrs. Lillian Rice, who survives, and the late Mr.Rice. He moved to Saranac Lake in the 1950's and made his home at 22 Duprey Street with his family until entering the Air Force. The family subsequently lived in Hawaii and North Africa.

Mr. Rice retired from the service two years ago with the rank of technical sergeant. He had served in the Air Force clerical department.

Survivors include his wife, Ms. Fay Moody Rice of Saranac Lake; four children: Vivian Lee of LaFargeville, Vera Ann of Okinawa, Japan, and Valerie Lynn and Ernest D., both of Saranac Lake; and one brother, Leon Paul of Harrisburg, Pa.

Funeral services were held last weekend at the Bill Eisenhour Funeral Home, 8805 Northeast 23 Street, Midwest City Oklahoma.
