Lawrence Quigley was a [War II veteran].  He was a son of Lawrence and Marie (Keys) Quigley.

SARANAC LAKE -Lawrence Quigley of Charlotte, North Carolina died Monday, Jan. 19 at the Presbyterian Hospital in Charlotte.

He was born Aug. 23, 1918 in Saranac Lake, the son of Lawrence and Marie (Keys) Quigley. He had been a resident of Saranac Lake until 1956 when he became a chef with the Holiday Inn chain. He has resided in Charlotte for the past five years.

Survivors include three brothers, Joseph of Saranac Lake, and Thomas and James of New York City; eight sisters, Mrs. Catherine Wiles and Mrs. Marie Peabody, both of Lake Worth, Fla., Mrs. Margaret Rice of Boynton Beach, Fla., and Mrs. Elizabeth Owens, Mrs. Ann Crisham, Mrs. Eileen Swain, Mrs. Barbara McKillip and Mrs. Patricia Dupree, all of Saranac Lake.

Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Mr. Quigley was a veteran of World War II.

There will be no calling hours, and a private funeral service will be held Thursday at the Fortune Funeral Home with Father John Yonkovig of St. Bernard's Church officiating.

Interment will be in St. Bernard's Cemetery in May.
