William Fay Smith was a carpenter at Crescent Bay Camps.

W. Fay Smith

W. Fay Smith, who had lived at 16 Fairview Avenue, Saranac Lake, since 1925, died yesterday morning at Norwalk, Conn. Mr. Smith was a carpenter at Crescent Bay Camps until his retirement.

He was born June 27, 1886 in Lowville, a son of William and Lucy Dunbar Smith. On November 25, 1913, he was married to Romana Herperger at St Peter's Church in Lowville.

Survivors include his wife, a daughter, Mrs. Helen LeBoeuf of Norwalk, three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. The funeral service has been set tentatively for 11 a.m. Thursday at the Fortune Funeral Home in Saranac Lake. Burial will be in Pine Ridge Cemetery.
