Frank Knight, Jr. retired as advertising manager for home movies at Eastman Kodak in Rochester around 1957.

His family included his wife, Elizabeth (Betsy) Knight and two sons:  Frank Knight III and Lane Knight.  Frank Knight passed away around 1972; his wife passed away in the early eighties.

The property is divided by Alder Brook.  The half with the house was willed to Lane Knight who continued to live there until his death around 2006; the other half was willed to Frank Knight III who sold his half a few years later.

Frank Knight operated a Christmas tree farm on the property for a number of years.  He was active in the Saranac Lake branch of the Red Cross as was his wife.  He also was on the board of the Onchiota school.

He wrote a book on creating home movies titled "Home movies made easy" and wrote a mystery novel that was never published.


Written by a contributor whose family had a camp on Rainbow Lake near Onchiota. They were close friends with the Knight family.
