The Lake Kushaqua Post Office began in 1894. The name was changed to Stony Wold by 1951, and it discontinued service in 1957 when the mail went to Onchiota Post Office.  It was listed as a Class Three post office with a salary of $2,500 in the 1945 [of Post Offices by Classes].

Grace Davies was its last post master.

It was also the known as the White Fathers Rural Station in 1960 to at least 1964.  A "rural station" appears to have been an office in the charge of a postal clerk rather than a post master.
