Peter Sabattis

Captain Peter Sabattis was an Abenaki, [to be] one of the earliest settlers in Long Lake, moving there early 1830s. His honorific "Captain" was based on his service to the American side in the Revolution and the War of 1812, helping to blaze trails for military movements.
