According to the 1916 TB Directory, the Carter Cottage, run by Mrs. James Carter, had room for nine patients and charged $7-9 per week. It also is listed in the Disinfection Records of 1911. In 1932, it was home to Beanie Barnet. In 1936, it was the residence of Anthony H. Keane, Veronica Lake's adoptive father.
