The 1925 Mountain Home Telephone directory listed Mrs. Mary Gowett (1873- 1962), wife of Peter Gowett (1866-1928), at 17 Charles Street. Lawrence Gowett lived there until 1967.
Gertrude Smith and Ambrose C. Smith lived at 17 Charles Street from 1969 until Ambrose's death in 1977; and Gertrude continued to live there until her death in 1995.
