Thomas R. Finnegan was a Korean War veteran, the son of Ralph P. and Gladys (LaFountain) Finnegan. He graduated from Saranac Lake High School, and married Colleen McGill at St. Bernard's Church on March 14, 1959. He served in the Navy in Korea, and worked for the New York State Department of Corrections. He died at age 57 while living in Poughkeepsie.

Poughkeepsie - Thomas R. Finnegan, 57, of Poughkeepsie, died unexpectedly Sunday, July 19, 1992 at St. Francis Hospital.
Born in Saranac Lake Dec. 6, 1934, he was the son of Ralph P. and Gladys (LaFountain) Finnegan.
He was a graduate of Saranac Lake High School, and on March 14, 1959, he married Colleen McGill at St. Bernard's Church in Saranac Lake.
A 23-year employee of the New York State Department of Corrections, he retired as a sergeant in 1985, having worked at Green Haven Prison in Stormville.
A Navy veteran who served in the Korean Conflict, he was a communicant of Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church in Poughkeepsie.
Survivors include his wife; his mother of Bloomingdale; four daughters, Kelly Doyle of Poughkeepsie, Betsy Healy of Unionvale, Michelle Finnegan and Darcie Finnegan, both of Poughkeepsie; three grandsons, one granddaughter, and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Parmele Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Fulton Ave., Poughkeepsie. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Thursday at 10 a.m. at the Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church. Burial will be in St. Peter's Cemetery, Poughkeepsie.
