John H. Buckley operated a livery at 8 1/2 Bloomingdale Avenue from at least 1895 until his death in 1906.  He is buried in Pine Ridge Cemetery.

BUCKLEY-At Saranac Lake, N. Y. Sept. 28. John H. Buckley, one ot the prominent business men of Saranac Lake.

Mr. Buckley was buried beneath a load of hay over a year ago and received injuries from which he never recovered. Apoplectic conditions developed and although he was about as usual the day before his death he lapsed into unconsciousness Friday morning, and died in a few hours.
