John H. Farrington operated the Bijou Theatre on Main Street.  He was the District Deputy Grand Master of the [Order of Foresters].

On this (Tuesday) evening a joint installation of officers of the St. Regis Lodge, I. O. O. F., and Oneita Rebekah Lodge occurs at St. Regis Falls. District Deputy Grand Master J. H. Farrington, of Saranac Lake, and District President of the Rebekah's, Miss Sarah Grossman and staff, of Malone, are expected to be present and install the officers, after which a banquet will be served at the Orton House.
