EMPLOYEE FOR N. Y. RAILROAD DIES SUDDENLY
Charles L. Wright, 57, of 10 Leona street, railroad telegrapher for the New York Central railroad offices in this village, died suddenly Saturday night at his home here.
Mr. Wright passed away about 8 o'clock and his death was attributed to a heart ailment from which he had been suffering for several years.
He was a native of Brandon. Vt., and the son of Edward and Florence Woodruff Wright. The elder Mr. Wright had resided in this village with his son until his death a few years ago.
Mr. Wright came to Saranac Lake 14 years ago on a transfer from Old Forge where he had served the railroad for a number of years. He served there also as a justice of the peace and while residing in Saranac Lake had been a sports writer for several Syracuse papers.
He was a veteran of world war I and a member of the Old Forge Masonic lodge and American Legion post.
Survivors are his wife Mrs. Charles Wright; two sons, Richard Wright of Baltimore, Md., and David Wright of Syracuse, and one sister, Mrs. Charles E. Niles of Poughkeepsie.
Funeral services are expected to be held tomorrow afternoon from the Currier Funeral chapel.
