Milford Harvey was a World War I veteran; he is probably the same person listed as "Wilford Harvey" of Saranac Lake in Essex County's Honor Roll of those serving in the World War of 1917-18.  He is named in a number of Memory Tree listings in the Enterprise.

Milford Harvey

SARANAC LAKE - Milford Harvey, 87, died Sunday, March 2 at the General Hospital of Saranac Lake. He was a lifelong resident of Saranac Lake.

Mr. Harvey was born Sept. 16,1892, in Saranac Lake, the son of William and Safrona Harvey. He was a veteran of World War I, having served in the army. He was a member of' the American Legion.

He had been employed as a truck driver for John LaPan Wholesale until his retirement in 1965.

He is survived by a brother, Wilder, of Saranac Lake, and several nieces and nephews.

He will repose at the Fortune Funeral Home Monday , from 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday, from 2 to 4 and from 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the Fortune Funeral Home with Rev. Richard Chatterton officiating.

Burial will be in Pine Ridge Cemetery in May.
