'[Fox] is buried in St. Rose of Lima CemeteryHis grave has a marker, GAR 1861-1865, indicating he was a [War veteran] in the Grand Army of the Republic, and the cemetery records indicate that he served in Company D, 142 Regiment, N.Y. Volunteers. He was a son of Patrick and Mary Farley Fox, and a brother of Matthew Foxwho had almost identical service and is buried in the same cemetery.
