Other information: This was the home of Dr. Ezra S. McClellan, who was instrumental in forming the Saranac Lake Board of Health and improving sanitation in the village. Dr. E.L. Trudeau sold him land adjacent to the Adirondack Cottage Sanitarium which McClellan developed as the Highland Park subdivision.

In the late 20th century this house was owned by Ken Appell, who later used it as a rental property.
