Phil Perry ran a smoke shop on Main Street next door to the Hotel Saranac. He was from Finland, and in 1926 he acted as interpreter for Finnish world champion skater [Thunberg], when the latter competed at Pontiac Bay.

He was a member of the Saranac Club in 1926 when it was next door to the old Harrietstown Town Hall, and was there when the hall caught fire.

He lived at 27 Church street.

Announcement was made of the sale of Phil's Smoke Shop in Hotel Saranac to Jack McDuff of Saranac Lake by members of the family of the late Philip Perry, owner.
