Year built: 1960

6 James Street is a large garage downstairs with two 1200 sq ft apartments upstairs.  It was built by Chester Fobare to house Fobare & Sons, his plumbing and heating business.

In 1982, it was the home of Walter Nagengast, the owner of The Birches, in Ray Brook.
