Elizabeth Meagher Baker was a daughter of John and Bertha Meagher. She was a native of Saranac Lake. Her mother passed when she was four years old. She married Homer Baker and settled in Saranac Lake. They owned the Hotel Saranac Pharmacy which she appears to have operated after Homer's death in 1931, and sold about 1953 before moving to Rochester, where she died on January 21, 1963.  She lived at 21 Academy Street.

She was survived by sons, Homer (Buffalo, NY) and Robert (Rochester, NY) and daughters, Betty Stevens (Memphis, TN), Jean Noel (Dannemora, NY) and Peggy Martin (Rochester, NY), two sisters, Bertha Poggi (Hawthorne, NJ) and Margaret Von Bramer (Kingsport, TN), 18 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren
