George M. Meagher

Word has been received of the death on Dec. 23 at Fort Pierce, Fla, of George M. Meagher, formerly of Saranac Lake. The funeral was held at St. Anastasia's Church in Fort Pierce and burial was in that city on Dec. 28.

Mr. Meagher was born Nov. 26, 1920, in Saranac Lake, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Parnell Meagher. He was a grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Michael (Coze) Meagher who were in the ice and coal business here. He had been teaching scuba diving at Indian River Junior College.

Survivors include his wife, Esther; three children, Mrs. Susan Simmons of Durango, Colo., Kathleen and Walter, at home; his mother, now Mrs. Olaf Swenson of Rhinecliff; and an aunt, Mrs. James Fortune of Saranac Lake. His father is deceased.
