William Meagher, 57, formerly of Tupper Lake, died Monday night at St Vincent's Hospital, Staten Island, after a long Illness.

The body is being brought to Saranac Lake, where funeral services are tentatively set for Friday at St. Bernard's Church. Interment will be in Saranac Lake in the spring.

He was born at Plattsburgh Sept. 6, 1901, the son of Robert and Elizabeth Dolan Meagher, and was graduated from Holy Ghost Academy here in 1921, the family residing on Upper Saranac Lake at that time. Mr. Meagher attended Fordham University, and since 1924 had been in the employ of the General Electric Co. in Schenectady, until illness forced him to retire.

Surviving are four sisters, Mrs. Margaret Hull, Tupper Lake; Mrs. Link Lamy, Saranac Lake, Mrs. Fritz Takach and Mrs. Kathleen McNamara, both of New York city; two aunts, and several nieces and nephews.
