The Saranac Lake High School Alma Mater was written by Antoinette Dutcher, who taught drama at Saranac Lake High School in the twenties.

Circled round by mighty mountains
Breathed upon by healing balm,
Mirrored in the flowing river,
Blessed by nature's soothing calm.
Stands our dear old Alma Mater
Crowned with honor, crowned with love
Crowned by all her children loyal
True to her all else above.

Day by day we seek her shelter,
Open minds and hearts aflame
While we seek for truths eternal
Through the ages still the same.
Here we learn to face the future
And the problems we may meet,
And we gain the power to conquer,
Snatching victory from defeat.

When the twilight shadows gather,
And the day is nearly done
While our idle fancies hover,
O'er the paths our feet have won,
As an exile, homeward turning
Will our longing memories fly
To the years in dear old High School
And the friends of days gone by.
