Richard H. Rawdon was a [War II veteran].  He was a son of Henry S. and Emily Saunders Rawdon.


Adirondack Daily Enterprise, May 15, 1968

A Funeral Mass for Richard Rawdon, 45, who died Monday at Falls Church, Va., will be celebrated at 10 a. m. Thursday at St. James' Church in Falls Church. Interment will be at 3:15 p. m. Saturday in St. Bernard's Cemetery, Saranac Lake under the direction of the Keough and Son, Inc. Memorial Chapels.

Mr. Rawdon had lived in Saranac Lake, coming here as an instructor at the American Management Association. He later taught at Clarkson College and then moved to Falls Church when he started to do research for the government.

Mr. Rawdon was born Nov. 4, 1922 in Washington, D. C, a son of Henry S. and Emily Saunders Rawdon. He served in the Air Force in World War II.

He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Potsdam Council and of Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity.

Survivors include his wife, Marilyn E.; three sons, Jeffrey, Andrew, and Michael; and a sister, Mrs. Fred T. Mitchell of St. Louis, Mo.
