Saranac Pines was a large camp on Upper Saranac Lake built by Eric P. Swenson.  It was demolished in 1985 by new owner Roger Tebbutt, a developer from Rainbow Lake, who planned a development on the acreage.

Ed Mayotte and his wife were caretakers from 1921 to 1951; he said the buildings were about a hundred years old in 1985.

The property had been owned since 1960 by Chanbets, Inc., a business owned by the Bernard Weisinger family of New York City.
