Born: March 17, 1779 in Canaan, Litchfield, Connecticut

Died: November 14, 1861

Married: Roxanna Pond

Children: Alric Mann Bushnell

Chiefly known for: "...it is known that about 1820 he with Capt. Pliny Miller, purchased a tract or some 300 acres of land where the town of Saranac Lake was later located, selling his share soon after to his partner, Capt. Miller, who settled on the land about 1822. It seems to be the opinion of some that he left Saranac Lake soon after the completion of this transaction, but where he went has not yet been discovered. It is stated that he was a Fifer during the War of 1812." 1
