Lake Placid News, October 19, 1915

Leon Marquay, of Saranac Lake, who enlisted last March in the United States navy, has won honors, a medal, some slight promotion and an increase in pay, in the service already.

My Grandfather! I cannot remember much about him. He passed on when I was very young (5 or so). My father, Leon, was named after him.
